Jessica’s practice focuses on all matters related to Estate Planning, Estate Administration and Estate Litigation, as well as Civil and Commercial Litigation. She is passionate about helping clients navigate the often complex and emotional landscape of estate matters, approaching issues with a balance of knowledge, effective advocacy and compassion.
Jessica was called to the bar in 2014 and joined Garfin Zeidenberg as an associate after articling with the firm. During law school, Jessica was actively involved in supporting access to justice in her roles as Assistant Coordinator of Western Law’s chapter of Pro Bono Student Canada and Student Supervisor at Community Legal Services, where she assisted marginalized individuals with criminal and civil matters, and those facing eviction at the Landlord and Tenant Board. Jessica was a regular participant in Western Law’s advocacy program, enjoying success in several trial and appellate advocacy competitions while also organizing intra-school moots as a member of the Advocacy Committee. She was also the recipient of the Gretta J. Grant Prize in Community Legal Service and the Edna Yuet-Lui Chan Memorial Award.
In her spare time Jessica enjoys travelling, spending time with her family and all things food related. She credits her toddler for giving her a newfound appreciation for the art of negotiation.
